Championships

We had to play two games and win both of the games to take the second half of the season. We were playing a team that was undefeated. The first half of the season we played this team twice, once we won and once we lost. So we knew it could go either way. We HAD to win BOTH games to be in first place in the second half.
The first game was last Thursday, the Dodgers went into the game, wanting to win but understanding it was going to be difficult. It was the most NERVE WRACKING little league game I have ever watched. Most of you know a normal little league game goes for 6 innings in the majors, unless you are tied or it gets dark. In this case, we were tied, 0-0. Ugggh. Needless to say we played until we scored, the Dodgers scored the first run in the 9th inning. The Redsox were quick to follow to tie the game again.....and this went back and forth. We finally won in the 11TH INNING!!! What a game!!! aaaaahhhhhhhh......
Not too soon, we had to play them again on Saturday. This game wasnt quite the same, still just as nerve wracking but a GREAT GAME! Cole mad the first two runs......YEEEAAAAAAHHHH!!! AND we beat them 4 to 3. AWESOME! The Dodgers did it, they all played so hard and wanted to win so bad. THEY DID IT!
So this Thursday we play the Cardinals, the 1st place team for the first half, the championship game. I couldnt be more PROUD of this group of kids, really, I am so excited to be a part of it and to be able to watch all their efforts and talent on the field. IF we win on Thursday the Dodgers go to TOC's!!! (Tournament of Champions!)
