The girls

Last weekend my sister came over and spent the day with me. We both have such busy lives its hard to just spend the day together, no plans, no "things" going on, just spending time together. I usually have to kidnap my niece knowing they will come to pick her up and I get to steel some time with them. So that is sort of what I did more or less.
Saturday our cousin got married and after the ceremony Taylor went with my sister to watch Mikayla's first soccer game. Then we had plans to meet at the reception (which was going on the same time as Coles football Jamboree) so I could pick up Taylor and take Mikayla home with us for a sleep over. Man that was a long breath.
The girls had such a good time playing together and going in the spa and playing dress up. Taylor has a ton of dress up clothes but she doesnt touch them unless Mikayla is over, then you may or may not see them strutting around the house in heels and what ever layers they can put on, equipped with a stroller or shopping cart full of babies and other girly things.
So Sunday I got to spend time with my sister and her girls. Madisyn is such an easy baby, well not so much a baby anymore they grow up so fast!
Here are a few pictures I took of her in the front of the house, she loved the little bench.

This picture would not rotate for me, it would show up rotated then post like this...uuugh.

Little ham!

She was a busy little bee as you can tell by her pretty little shirt. I know this will drive my sister crazy because she does not like when the girls' clothes are dirty!

Taylor and Mikayla making a run for it. Not really, they just think they are so "big" with their baby dolls and such doing circles around the court.

Madisyn went to get them for lunch.
Madisyn with her blankie, why couldnt Taylor pick a pretty blankie like this, hers looks like a dingy old towel ,gross! We will check back in a couple years and see what this one looks like.
Bella had to get in in the dress up action!
Shes getting a little big for sissy to carry!

Im sorry but that hat is hilarious on Mikayla with her hair pulled back! It makes me laugh, mostly because my sister is next to me complaining to her to take it off....haha! Oh who cares, shes still beautiful!

Its her turn now

Shes old enough to play sports not just sit in the bleachers. We will have our go at soccer!
Her first practice was Friday night, it was a short practice and a team meeting. I will be "Team Soccer Mom". Wish me luck!
She was so excited for her practice, a little shy but Im sure she will be fine. There hasnt been allot of soccer in the family so Im excited. The team is a 6 and under team and she is the only other girl.
This is at her first practice, she is the one in the blue shorts. On Saturday she got to go pick out all her new gear! Her first, usually shes bouncing balls and getting into things while we are shopping for Bubba's gear. Well.....ok we did that too. Let me tell you.....Football is an expensive sport, especially if you are trying to keep your childs bones protected. sshhheeesh!

River City Football

This is Coles first year playing football. So far he LOVES it! He survived "Hell week" he survived his first week in pads and now hes on the team! Whooooo hoooo! I have to say, I dont envy him, 5 nights of practice out in this heat, the thought of it just makes me want to crawl in bed for a nap.
Those boys got lucky their first week, the weather was perfect, just enough to make them sweat. The second week was a little warmer, not once has he complained.
This Saturday is their jamboree at Folsom High School.
Cole was showing me all his practice gear after he got it. These pictures are from my phone. (please dont mind the messiness, we were just moving into our new house!)

Had to pull the mirror out to check himself out!
Ummmmm NO!

Why do little kids feel the need to try on all the gear, or is it why do big brothers feel the need to dress up their little sisters? lol
Oh geez look at this little crazy monster!
She was flexing up!

SOOOO heres to the beginning of our FOOTBALL SEASON!! WHOO HOOOO!!

Im learning

As you know we took Taylor out of the home daycare she has been going to for the last couple years and put her in preschool.
She had a little bit of a rough transition as would be expected. New school, new teachers, new kids, new routine. Rough.
Like most children Taylor is pretty shy when faced with new things and new people. So for the first couple weeks we had to ease her into her new school. I had to be very careful to call it "school" and not daycare because she would quickly correct me.
Well she had adjusted, she likes her teachers and has made many new friends. They have water day every friday and even took a trip to the Bridgeway water park. She also has gymnastics every Wed afternoon which she LOVES! and many many more activities.
The last few months at her old daycare she was learning how to write her name and learning the alphabet and her numbers and all of the "preschool" stuff. Obviously they didnt "just" start a few months ago but put in more time to prepare her for school. She loved bringing home her projects to show us. I noticed she wasnt really progressing forward and this was something I kept thinking about and pondering. A few reasons went through my head.
Well....since we made the move she has made a huge improvement and she is EXCITED about learning! WE ARE HAPPY PARENTS!
When we are having little "family meetings" or going over things with Cole or just talking, she likes to show us all the things she is learning. She gets really excited and says, "See im learning, its just uuuugghh *smile*" then she will go back to write something else to show us and say the same thing. She is very proud of herself and we are very proud of her. Although I think her BIG brother is secretly more proud, he loves when she writes something new or tells him something new she learned, its so innocent and pure to watch the joy on their faces.
Its the little things.
